The Daily News of Galveston County–the oldest continuously published newspaper in Texas–reviews The First Assassin:

a fast-paced thriller … a tightly plotted tale that keeps readers on the edge of their seat. Miller also manages to place the reader in 19th century America, north and south. He captures the spirit of that age.

The Michigan Review, a student newspaper that I once edited at the University of Michigan, has a Q&A with me.

From a librarian in Michigan:

It was a great pleasure to read your book.  Very well done and thanks for the good read. As a librarian I would certainly recommend your book for public libraries.  There are so many historical fiction readers always looking for good stuff and what better topic than the Civil War.

From a reader in California:

Kept me up till 4 AM… Loved it… Congrats…
