Here’s a note from another U.S. soldier who benefited from the generosity of readers like you.

I just wanted to write you a short note of thanks because I just recently received a copy of your book, “The First Assassin,” from Books for Soldiers.com. Specifically, David Gruber, one of their volunteers, sent me the book. He told me you donated a number of copies of this book to BFS. I am an avid historical reader and am excited to read your book. Thank you for your generosity and for supporting an organization that supports all service members in harm’s way overseas.

Having just recently applied for sponsorship from BooksforSoldiers.com, it had been very nice to see the immediate and generous response from this great organization. I have already received over 15 books that I will read or share with my fellow Soldiers. I am in Iraq for my fourth tour. I am active duty US Army and serve in a Heavy Brigade Combat Team in southern Iraq. … Again, thank you for your support and generosity.

Not sure why this photo is being used here, but this is a photo of me while on a patrol in southern Baghdad, Iraq.
