I’m a sucker for mystery novels set in Michigan — and so this week’s NRO podcast is with Bryan Gruley, discussing his book The Skeleton Box, which is set in the fictional Up North town of Starvation Lake. It’s loosely based on the strange disappearance and death of a nun about a century ago.

Next week’s podcast: Michelle Nickerson on the mothers of conservatism.
