Over the weekend, Mitt Romney announced Wisconsin congressman Paul Ryan as his running mate. In just a couple of weeks, they’ll pass the mark set by George McGovern and Thomas Eagleton, who made up the 1972 Democratic ticket for a grand total of 18 days.
