The Two-Fisted Reader reviews The Big Scrum:
This book’s the perfect size (it’s almost Gladwellian in heft, both spatially and intellectually) and a joy to read. It’s a window into the life of our most strong-willed president (a novel quality in a leader) and a tidy summary of America’s early perception of sport in society.
There is obviously no better way to spend your time between now and the Super Bowl than to read The Big Scrum. What else are you going to do? Watch the Pro Bowl?
