A little more than eight years ago, I covered Rick Santorum’s re-election campaign for the Senate in Pennsylvania. “There may not be a more important election for conservatives in the entire country this year,” I wrote in National Review. Alas, he lost, though he went on to become a national figure in 2012, when he ran second to Mitt Romney in the GOP presidential primaries. Now he’s thinking about another bid for the White House, and last week I podcasted with Santorum and his wife Karen about their new book, on their special-needs daughter, plus what to look for in 2016.
