My profile of the novelist Nelson DeMille is in the Wall Street Journal. We talk about Cuba, Communism, and the writing life.
Nice piece on DeMIlle. I did notice a contradiction he committed – and you apparently didn’t catch : ). He says: “I don’t want to lose an audience that might not understand literary allusions or historical references”
– and in the paragraph just preceding that comment he says: “Trump could go to Cuba, like Nixon went to
China. Obama going to Cuba was like carrying coals
to Newcastle”. What does that mean?? He ‘lost’ me! I had to ‘google’ it.
