The new National Review carries my article on Kurt Vonnegut, with an emphasis on his connections to Ronald Reagan and William F. Buckley Jr. as well as his short-story masterpiece “Harrison Bergeron.” The image below shows Vonnegut’s single appearance on Firing Line, with Buckley on the left and Vonnegut on the right (paradoxically) and Norman Mailer (who couldn’t shut up on the episode) in the middle.
